I started with some reallllly pretty specialty paper that is soft and sparkly and cut it slightly smaller than my card base (Bazzil cardstock). I attached it using glue dots because 'wet' glue really shows through this particular paper and leaves a yucky stripe. Then I tied on some ribbon from my stash trying to use coordinating colours and to include some of the same sparkle that's in the paper. The white shimmery ribbon is Offray from Walmart. THEN came the focal point, my sentiment from River City Rubber Works was stamped in Adirondack Mushroom ink and cut out using my oval Marvy punch. I matted it on white Doodlebug Designs glitter paper and handcut the oval out myself. The final touch was a scalloped circle cut out with Nestabilities in the same colour of cardstock as the card base. Easy peasy and I do have to say, it looks much nicer IRL.
Why don't you all show me a card that doesn't have ANY stamping on it at all?! Just leave a link to your new card on your blog in my comments for this post and I'll check it out! On the morning of Monday, May 19 (a holiday for us Canadians!) I'll draw a random number from all the submitted cards, (note- all the cards, not just all the comments) and the winner will receive a "Spring Blooms" Gina K. stamp set!!
That's a nice sentiment stamp. Often for weddings etc they can be a bit mushy, but that's just right. It looks very nice in the mushroom tones. K
