Thanks so much!

Another Lauren Meader sketch!! This one is mytimess31. She is so creative with what she comes up with...just love her sketches!

I used Lily Kate papers by Basic Grey, and inked all edges with Sweet Blush ink. The embossed panel was done using the Stylized Flowers folder by Cuttlebug. The little 'thanks so much' stamp was given to me by a friend getting rid of her stamping stuff (what's WRONG with her??!!) and it doesn't say on it who made it...sorry. Flowers are Prima, brads are from one of the Basic Grey collections, and the ribbon is Sweet Blush from Papertrey Ink. The picture itself did not turn out too well, but IRL this card is soft and sweet. Thanks for looking!

My husband has FINALLY returned from a 2 week business trip and stayed home from work yesterday to give me a 'mommy' day! It was much needed... Now, the morning wasn't too great, as I had a dentist appointment, but after that I headed out to Scrappin' Great Deals where I spent, spent, spent!! :) AHHHHH, nothing like coming home with a whole stack of fabulous patterned paper to brighten your day!

Thanks for the Animal Crackers.

Well, this card didn't take long! Talk about simple! :) Kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink, paired with Vintage Cream (I love that combo!). I cut out the Vintage Cream cardstock using a Nestabilities die (Labels One), and popped up my main image, which comes from a bunch of pretty little diecuts from Imaginisce's Animal Crackers line. I added some Stickles to the trim, and the flower for a little more sweetness :) Finally, the sentiment comes from Mega Mixed Messages by Papertrey Ink- stamped in Dark Chocolate.

On a cute note...I just heard my son mutter something about John Deere tractors in his sleep...too sweet. He's really obsessed with green and yellow these days. I don't think it's going to be something he farm kid! :)

Thanks for your kindness..

I'm still making a handful or so of baby thank yous...they keep trickling in! Here's one using a sketch by Lauren Meader. She was looking for a design team, and while I'm not looking for that kind of commitment, I still do love a good sketch! :)

This card uses Vintage Cream by Papertrey Ink, and designer papers from DCWV (once again, that wonderful Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack!). The sentiment comes from Papertrey Ink's 2008 anniversary set, and there are some flatback pearls added to make it "pretty"...I had a hard time NOT using a main image on this card, but I think I pulled it off. Friday was a GREAT stamping day for me...I stopped at my LSS- the Paper Pickle and treated myself to some goodies, only to come home and discover my Papertrey Ink order had arrived!!!!!!! Yahoooo!!! So I have already begun using all my fabulous new 'stuff' so look for that to come shortly! Have a great Sunday folks!

Good things come in multiples!

Awww! Twins again! :) This is for another neighbour, but surprisingly, not for the same family who had twins! Must be something in the water...all these multiples! :)

Lemon Tart cardstock, Bitty Dots patterned paper, images from Bitty Baby Blessings stamp set, a dab or two of Stickles, and the Swiss Dots embossing folder...that's it! :) Thanks for looking!

I don't miss that at all!

I made this card for SC216 on SCS. I used one of those beautiful preggo Bellas, who I don't envy at all. My baby is almost 3 months old and we're done with all that now!! :) I loved being pregnant but two kids are all that will fit into our house!! Hahaha...

I used papers from Papertrey Ink- Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist and True Black. I also used one of the open polka dot images from Polka Dot Basics as my background, stamped in black on the Raspberry Fizz paper. Then I used a SU! punch for the Aqua Mist 'dots' and added those randomly, sparkling them up with Stickles. Ribbon is Raspberry Fizz, as is the sponged ink around the edges of the image. I coloured her in with Copics, added some Prima flowers, a button from my stash, and gave the Spring Moss paper dimension by running it through my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Ella and Ivy

I made this card as a special order for a neighbour. She wanted something for newborn twin girls so this is what I came up with...

I stamped the stork twice (duh!) and coloured it in with Copics. I used a very pale pink to colour the bag (which I popped up using dimensionals) before I covered it with Stickles. The designer papers are from DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack; other paper is Spring Moss by Papertrey Ink. The Sweet Blush ribbon is also Papertrey. The beautiful flower is a Painterly flower by Prima, and the sparkly brad is from Making Memories. I paper pieced along the bottom edge of the image, and stamped the girls name in Graphite Black using Papertrey Ink's Simple Alphabet.

Take a break!!

Get outside, take a break and enjoy that sunshine! If you live in Southwestern Ontario, you know it's been a looooong winter and we much deserve this gorgeous weather we're having today. Let's hope it's here to stay! Yeah for springtime!!

I used an old sketch from Jen del Muro on this card. Papers are Sweet Blush, Spring Moss and Pink Patterns designer paper. I sponged Berry Sorbet ink around almost all of the paper edges. Chipboard is from Technique Tuesday and the gorgeous stamp is from My Favorite Things- coloured in with Copics of course, with some Stickles accenting the flowers. I glued the chipboard swirl (which I cut to fit the card) to the Spring Moss, then cut it out and sanded the edges using my files that my hubby picked up for me at Princess Auto...that's his personal "hobby store" haha. Then I distressed the swirl with a bit of Spring Moss ink. I used my punches for the plain and scalloped circle, and ran the white one through my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. The ribbon is Sweet Blush from PTI, with some misc. buttons from my stash added to finish off the card.

Phoebe Ketto

Loooove the Kettos!! Ohhhh they are so cute! This is Phoebe Ketto and I coloured her in with my Copics, using Diamond Stickles on her wings. I bought sweet Phoebe at the Paper Pickle of course!! Those fabulous patterned papers are by Martha Stewart, the chipboard hearts are from my huge box of chipboard that I throw everything in, so I"m not sure WHO made them! Ribbon is Dark Chocolate by Papertrey Ink, staples are Making Memories, and the diecuts are of course, Spellbinders Nestabilities. Thanks for looking!

Pretty bird in pink

Nothing is softer or prettier than those Porcelain papers by Basic Grey. That's what I used here, along with some Sweet Blush cardstock. The owl and branch are from U R A Hoot by Kim Hughes for Cornish Heritage Farms, and I paper pieced the branch with Porcelain papers. The owl is coloured in with Copics, and there is Spica glitter on her eyelids (pretty bird is a she this time around). The flowers are Primas, and the cool huge sparkly brad is from Making Memories. Ribbon is Sweet Blush satin. The challenge I based my card on is LPSC08 (do a monochromatic card), and the sketch is AMYRS62.

Thanks for the anniversary set!

So I tried to experiment with my picture-editing today and let me know what you think. I think I kind of figured out how to do a watermark, although mine isn't as fancy as some I've works though. :) It doesn't change the fact that I still can't take an actual picture worth a darn!

This card is one layer and easy to do! I stamped the onesie from Baby Love (by Kim Hughes for CHF) 3 times in Graphite Black ink on White Stamper's Select cardstock and coloured in the heart with a Copic. I then added Diamond Stickles over it. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's 2008 anniversary set which you could earn by buying 12 sets in '08. And trust me...I definitely bought 12!! The ribbon is Berry Sorbet (PTI) and the button misc. from my stash (it matches really well doesn't it!?) The twine is from my mom's stash so you'll have to ask here where she got it! :)

Happy Easter!

A little Baby Love here... This is for a friend who is expecting...she doesn't know if she's having a boy or girl so I wanted to make something that would work for either.

I think using Vintage Cream, Lavender Moon and Spring Rain works perfectly together!! The beautiful patterned paper is from Making Memories- their awesome Animal Crackers line. I just love this line of paper- so perfect for me, who can use it on my baby girl's scrapbook pages or for cards for the 100 girlfriends I have that are expecting babies right now ( okay, 100 is an exaggeration!) All edges are inked with Lavender Moon ink and the cute giraffe is coloured with Copics. I added Diamond Stickles to the butterflies (which come from the Little Gal set by Kim Hughes for CHF). Ribbon is Lavender Moon by PTI.

I hope everyone has a very Happy Easter weekend. My mom is hosting our family Easter on Sunday- you should check out the menu!! Yum Yum!!

Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge #1

As always, I'm posting this challenge card weeks late :) Oh well, I have fun doing the challenges and I have the excuse of a 2 month old baby to keep me busy!! This is for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #1 (and now she's on week #3!).

I used the Boards and Beams set by Papertrey Ink and coloured it in with my Copics. I didn't mean for the orangey colour to be so bright but my blender pen died. :( Thankfully I have a new one, so that won't happen again! Colours are: Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart and Raspberry it! This card also follows SC220 over at Splitcoast. Other details: flowers are all by Prima, sparkly brad is by Making Memories, embossing folder is Swiss Dots, baubles are by Stamping Bella and pink gems are misc. from my stash.

Let the sun shine in!

Not a huge fan of this's a little busy and I'm not sure WHY I bought this stamp. I can count on one hand the number of times I've used it because I can never figure out how to make it work with any kind of patterned paper or embellishments...oh well!

The image comes from a Stampendous stamp and I coloured it in with Copics, adding TONS of Stickles here, there and everywhere. I used my new Nestabilities for the cut outs, and patterned paper from the Wild Saffron collection by K & Company. The cardstock is Ripe Avocado by Papertrey Ink, the ribbon is misc. from my stash (bought at the Paper Pickle of course!) Have a great day everyone and enjoy the sunshine before the yucky snow comes back this week (or so my local weatherman tells me).

Super star!!

I can't believe there is no stamping on this card!! What the heck??!! :) I looked and looked for an image that would compliment that fantastic background paper and everything seemed too "busy". I kept thinking about a big star and remembered I had this Sizzix diecut...phewf!

The finished card is 6x6...bigger than what I usually make but I wanted to show lots of the patterned paper (which by the way, I have no clue who made came from Joanne though...). The lovely green is New Leaf by Papertrey Ink, while the blue cardstock is Bazzil and was run through my Swiss Dots embossing folder. The star is made out of Doodlebug glitter paper, as well as the teeny tiny glittery green dot in the centre of the big brad.

A simple, cute card for a school-aged boy or girl. I'll probably use it as a birthday card. On a final note...why not show you a picture of my lil' sweetie. :) Yes, she's adorable and yes...her ears DO stick out like that naturally (so WHAT!) :)
