A week late...haha. I don't have any other cards edited and ready to show, so I figured this one would do. I DID however, get it to my father-in-law in time- just not here on the blog!! I used a SFYTT from Jen Del Muro, which worked perfectly!

Where's MY cabana boy?! :)

I bought this fabulous stamp at the Paper Pickle on my latest excursion there a few weeks ago. The Rubber Verses sentiment just cracked me up, and it reminded me of my mother-in-law. In a good way... :)

I paired this silly sentiment with Papertrey Ink's Raspberry Fizz and True Black cardstock, and patterned paper that is soooo old I have no idea where it came from! I also used some Spellbinders Nestabilities (Labels One), Prima flowers, a Making Memories shimmer brad, and Basic Grey brads on this one. A nice summery card to go along with the SWELTERING heat we are having in South Western Ontario...not complaining though. I just went out a bought myself a bunch of cute little sundresses to keep cool in :)

Thanks so much!

Easy, easy, easy... :) I used a Marvy circle punch on scraps leftover from Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday collection...inked the edges with Antique Linen distress ink and glued them to my Vintage Cream cardstock base. Ribbon is also Vintage Cream, with a piece of twine added and a sentiment from Mega Mixed Messages! Thanks for looking!!

For dear ol' DAD

I fell in love with this Cosmo Cricket Lil' Man line...so appropriate for the men in my life. I made this card for my dad, who flies real and remote control airplanes. We're an airplane family...seriously, my little Jake even cranes his neck now looking up into the sky for a passing plane. :) I still have lots of scraps leftover to make a quick card for my hubby, who is a fantastic father. He's in Spain right now on a business trip, and will miss out on Father's Day this, but we plan on celebrating as a family when he gets back!
Paper: Vintage Cream cardstock by Papertrey Ink, Lil' Man dp by Cosmo Cricket
Ink: Antique Linen ink, and Red Pepper alcohol ink by Tim Holtz
Other: misc. ribbon, Making Memories brads, Nestabilities, Quickutz airplane diecut, Basic Grey chipboard letters

These are a few samples of the thank-you cards I made for my children's baptism gifts. Our family was so generous- it was unexpected, but appreciated. The actually baptism day was beautiful, and we were so lucky to have all of our family there to watch Jake and Robin be baptised. I based the idea for these cards off of an earlier one I did for baby gifts.
Stamps: Rainbow from Little Gal set by Kim Hughes for Cornish Heritage Farms, sentiment from Papertrey Ink 2008 anniversary set
Cardstock: White Stamper's Select
Ink: Palette Noir, Copics

Thinking of you, and thinking of bed!!

Short and sweet post...my beautiful baby girl who started sleeping the night at 2 1/2 months has now changed her mind about that whole 'sleep' thing and is wide awake at 4 a.m. wanting to party for the last 5 nights in a row...I am a walking ZOMBIE! I'm sure we'll get her settled into a good routine again shortly, right as she starts teething and is awake all night again... :) Anywhoooooo, I'm off to bed, so I'll just leave you with the details.

Cardstock: Vintage Cream
Patterned Paper: Making Memories (Flower Patch collection)
Stamps: Image from Sunshine Designs; sentiment from Papertrey Ink (Men of Life set) (note: I did not ink up the "dots" that run underneath the sentiment- so that is why they are missing in case you noticed)
Ink: Vintage Cream, Copics
Other: Nestabilities, Vintage Cream ribbon, Stickles

Thoughts of You...

My mother-in-law is one of my best customers...! :) She needed some "thinking of you" type cards so I did some creating for her.

Why don't I use Ocean Tides cardstock more often!? I love it! I think the colour is so rich and fabulous (just like I aspire to be...haha), and paired with Vintage Cream it really pops. Well, that about tells you what the card is! Ocean Tide and Vintage Cream cardstock, Green Tea Leaves patterned paper, Ocean Tides ribbon and ink (all by Papertrey Ink), as well as a sentiment from the Essential Sentiments set by MFT. I used my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and the Labels Trio smallest label by Spellbinders.

Bride and Groom

I cannot figure out how to properly take a picture of a card made from a transparency, so you'll have to bear with me, and use your imagination! :)

I made this for friends who were married in the Dominican at the end of April and had their wedding reception when they returned. We all had the chance to watch their wedding video which made us feel like we had been right there with them! Kelly (the bride) is always dressed so funky and fabulous, so I wanted to make a wedding card for her that was a little off my normal style- something I considered funky and fabulous as well!

I used transparency paper from Cornish Heritage Farms, and stamped my Sunshine Designs ring image on it with Staz On Black ink. Then I coloured in the bands with my gold paint pen, and used Diamond Stickles on the stone of the ring. The inside has a piece of White Stamper's Select cut slightly smaller in size than the card, and I used Divine Swirls (not sure of the company on this one...) stamped in Brilliance Gold. Over top of the gold swirls I stamped the sentiment from Kim Hughes' I Thee Wed set (from Cornish Heritage Farms).

Isn't this little sweety so adorable?? :) Her momma sure thinks so... Robin is 4 1/2 months old and is our smiley one...she's a lot of fun!

For a baptism

This was my first time using stamps from Unity Stamp Co. and it won't be my last!! This is the Something Within set, and it has so many beautiful Bible verses.

I made this for our neighbour's granddaughter who was being baptised yesterday at our church. My two little ones, Jake and Robin, were also baptised. What a lovely service, and neither one of them created too much fuss!! Phewf... :)

I used a thick, shimmery pink cardstock for my base, as well as True Black cardstock and a specialty paper that was thin and textured. My Nestabilities were used for the ovals- both scalloped and plain, while the ink is Tsukineko Versa Magic Dew Drops- Pixie Dust and Palette Noir. Brads are Making Memories glimmer brads.

Birthday Wishes

This card was for SC227 over on SCS. I used my favourite Whipper Snapper image (LOVE that stack of cakes!!) and coloured it in with Copics. The sentiment comes from Mega Mixed Messages by Papertrey Ink. Cardstock is New Leaf, Raspberry Fizz, White Stamper's Select and a purple Bazzil cardstock. Ink is Palette Noir and Raspberry Fizz. I also used some K & Company gems, my Marvy scalloped oval punch, some eyelets and of course Stickles!
I think I'll give this to my sister who will be 26 on Sunday! We are celebrating both Jake and Robin's baptism on Sunday, but I'm sure we can throw in a Happy Birthday to Holly while we're at it! :)

Wishing you...

A fantastic sketch by Jen Del Muro from a few weeks or so ago...

I used Basic Grey Porcelain papers, Vintage Cream cardstock, Dark Chocolate ink and ribbon, Marvy punches, Nestabilities, and the Wedding Centres set from Cornish Heritage Farms!! I love how it turned out, and can't wait to give it to friends of ours getting married in July.

Happy birthday, little dude!!

Awww! I love these little monsters from Stamping Bella. It was my first using them, and I just loved paper piecing them. That Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper sure is awesome!! This is for TECC69...as always, a week behind. :) The sentiment is from Amuse, white gel pen is Sakura, ribbon is from Walmart, and glitter (both yellow and clear) is from Doodlebug. You'll see these monsters (or monstah's as da Bella would say) again soon I'm sure...I'm in love with them!
