Soft, sweet and serene!

This stamp is pretty when stamped with soft, sweet colours and the new formulation of Papertrey Ink's Sweet Blush and Spring Moss meets that criteria! The image is called Solidago Sprig and is by Rubber Stampede. I stamped the image on cream coloured, linen textured cardstock and inked the edges with chamomile tea dye ink. I used my SU! scalloped border punch on the one edge and tied across Spring Moss satin dots ribbon. The card base is also Spring Moss, and I used a Cuttlebug border strip along the right edge. The sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages by PTI- my "go-to" set for many of my cards!

You're so sweet/my sweeties!

One of my favourite Papertrey Ink sets...Everyday Button Bits. My new fave is of course, Holiday Button Bits! I paired the cherry stems with Pure Poppy buttons, and pretty designer paper from October Afternoon's Cherry Hill collection.

Speaking of October afternoons...(that was kinda cheesy wasn't it??) I took some pictures of my little ones playing outside yesterday since it was such a lovely day. I think they turned out pretty cute! The pictures that is, not the kids...OBVIOUSLY the kids are cute! :) Jake is now 3 years old, and Robin 9 months. They both slept SO well last night after being outside in the fresh air all afternoon! Lucky me!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!!

Yeah!!! It's the 25th of October! (Already!?) That means it's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop time and this month the theme is to create a holiday project.
I decided to use Lauren Meader's Cash or Charge collection template to showcase some gift card holders. I love getting gift cards as a gift, and therefore love giving them as well! This template makes packaging up a gift card easy and decorative- a real treat for the recipient!
This style is the #3 gift card holder once you download the template (only $5!!). Veeeery easy to put together and my favourite of all 3 styles.
Cardstock: Raspberry Fizz, New Leaf, Pure Poppy (Papertrey Ink), blue (Bazzil); pink trees (My Mind's Eye); other (DCWV)
Other: Raspberry Fizz button, Raspberry Fizz satin ribbon, Pure Poppy satin dots ribbon, New Leaf saddle stitch ribbon (Papertrey Ink); twine (misc.); punches (EK Success and Cropadile)

Welcome baby, and MY babies!

I'm busy increasing my stash of baby seems like there was quite a baby BOOM around here a few months ago, and now that it has slowed down I need to replenish! Seriously, I counted 10 babies born in 4 months!! Lots of little ones for my kids to play with.

This baby girl card uses a Kim Hughes set (for Cornish Heritage Farms) and the colour purple, which I see a lot of us in blog-land are afraid of using...haha. Me too! I think I pulled it off this time though...

Stamps: Sweet Love (Cornish Heritage Farms)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Heliotrope (Versacolor); Copics; Chamomile (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Lilac, light green (Bazzil); designer paper (Nana's Nursery- DCWV)
Other: Stickles; ribbon (misc); pearls (Kaisercraft); Nestabilities

Speaking of babies- here is a new picture of MY two babies, although I am sad to say Robin is probably no longer much of a baby...already walking around the coffee table and standing on her own for a few seconds. Walking will be any day now! Why can't they stay little forever?? Jake just turned 3 years little old man! Although when I said that being 3 meant he needed to use the "potty" like a big boy, he said he changed his mind...well that's a man for you!! :) Awww I just love them so much!

Baboo Who? :)

Is this bright or what!!!??? I love it, even though you might need your sunglasses on to look at it. Baboo the Owl (that name cracks me up!) is so quirky. One of my fave Stamping Bella images, even though I don't see him/her used very often. I paired Baboo with Lemonade Basic Grey papers and a sketch from... umm... somewhere.

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento); Cyan, Indigo (Versacolor); Copics
Paper: Stamper's Select (Papertrey Ink); Lemonade (Basic Grey)

Need a couch day??

I definitely need a couch day, today being Thanksgiving Monday here in Canada. I'm SO stuffed I can barely move and yet I have ONE MORE festivity to go to today.

It was a VERY bright day when I took pictures of these last few cards. I can't seem to get a day that is a happy medium. A photo booth is on my Christmas list... This card uses the same elements as the one in my previous post, I just used the couch instead of the chair, and changed the sentiment.

Happy Thanksgiving Monday to all my Canadian blogging friends!

Stamps: On My Couch, Borders and Corners: Circle (PTI)

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Paper: Stamper's Select (PTI); Designer paper (Martha Stewart)

Feel better On My Couch!

I forgot I had some really cool Martha Stewart paper packs lying around and I came across them while purging a few old, old items I never use anymore. Some of the pieces in the 12x12 packs are not my style, but these particular patterned papers I knew would work well for On My Couch! I cut out the circle using my Nestabilities, then stamped my border from Borders & Corners: Circle. The chair was stamped on designer paper, cut out and popped up using dimensionals. Enjoy!!!

Why oh why don't I get my Verve stamps out more often?? I just LOVE them!! This set from Beautiful You complemented these butterflies perfectly. Sorry I've been 'wonky' about posting lately. I am still running on little sleep thanks to Robin, but it's getting better, so I can actually take some time during NAPTIME to post! :) Rest assured, I always take time to check out all of YOUR blogs and beautiful creations! Wishing you Well!!

It's nice how the right patterned paper can really make your card that extra bit of 'special'. That's why I love Papertrey Ink's patterned papers! This was a fast card to do, and that pop of red really does draw your eye in. I don't have the Papertrey Ink Flourishes stamp set, buy my Inkadinkado set came in handy for the same effect!

In other news, my little ones are keeping me SO busy these days! Funny how that happens isn't it? :) Robin is now crawling and is so determined to get into EVERYTHING that we have gone all through the house on our hands and knees to see what kind of trouble is at her eye level! I'm sure we look silly, but it's a must-do. Jake is going to be 3 years old in 2 weeks. I can't believe how grown up he looks- not an ounce of baby left in him!! He said to me today, "Mommy, you are cute." What a little sweetie he is...haha. Maybe he picked that one up from us always telling HIM the same thing??? None the less, it made my day a little brighter. :)

Stamps: Vintage Picnic, Garden of Life (Papertrey Ink); flourish (Inkadinkado)
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy, Chai (Papertrey Ink)
