awesome wonderful amazing brilliant

Awhile ago I borrowed a bunch of stamps from my mom by Waltzingmouse Stamps just to play around with and get my creative juices flowing.  Sometimes all I need is a new product in my hand and then my mojo is going again. It works, but is dangerous to my bank account... :)  I used Off Beat Backgrounds in multiple colours for my base, layered it on black and then adhered it all to a white card base.  My sentiment came from Papertrey Ink's Movers & Shakers Sentiments

I'm forgoing InLinkz today because of laziness and will just list supplies at the end of this post.

Stamps: (Movers & Shakers Sentiments) PTI; (Off Beat Backgrounds) Waltzingmouse Stamps
Ink: (Black) Tsukineko; (Hawaiian Shores, Spring Moss, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy) PTI
Paper: (white, black) PTI
Other: (buttons) PTI; (butterfly) Jenni Bowlin; (crystals) Prima

Congrats Grad!

My brother is graduating from college this week, so I created this masculine graduation card for him.  I'm SO proud of him and his accomplishments; he's a pretty fantastic brother! He studied Horticulture at the University of Guelph- Ridgetown campus for 2 years and is such a smarty pants. :) Proud sister alert!

Doilies and Lace

I'm having fun playing around in a few challenges lately; something I don't take the time to do very often, but when I do, I have so much fun! The Moxie Fab challenges are always so fun to enter because Cath just makes everything so FUN!  I just noticed I used the word FUN 4 times already...oh well. :) Isn't that what a crafty hobby should be all about? :)
So for official purposes, this card is entered in the Doilies & Lace Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. All products are listed below, except for the little scrap of pink lace ribbon that I had in my stash from a long time ago.  I wish I would have left it off now as it seems a little 'too' pink, but all in all, a sweet card.

FWF Ups & Downs

Friday means Friends with Flair on the Unity blog! I'm linking up this encouragement card, made using the sentiment from I'm Here. This card has some serious SHINE to it. I discovered the Mister Huey's Shine mist from Studio Calico and am in love. :) I've used it on practically every card I've made lately!  Thanks for looking today, and enjoy browsing the rest of the fabulous projects linked up to FWF. Happy weekend everyone!

Crisp Congrats

One layer, clean, crisp looking cards are my favourite cards to make.  You can usually make quite a few of them at a time, and if you already have the design laid out then it doesn't take much time to put together either. I layered the labels from Vintage Labels by Papertrey Ink in different colours and stamped my sentiment over top. I added some bling here and there, and that was all I needed!

Spring tag time

A little group of spring themed tags ready to stick on any gift, or to give as a gift themselves! I die cut the tags, ran them through my die cut machine with the impression plate, stamped the image and sentiment, added the punched butterfly, and then a crystal as a finishing touch.  Cream twine was the last touch! The cute little sentiments come from an older Hero Arts clear stamp set.
