Nothing screams retirement like golfing, right?  This one layer card can easily be made into any colour scheme; wouldn't pink, red and grey look great for a lady?
I like when a card comes together quickly. This one used a white card base, some stamping, and some quick shading with a Copic marker. Done in 8 minutes tops!

Oh Ship!

I'm a sucker for stamp sets that make me laugh. This one from Simon Says Stamp fits the category perfectly! Their designs are so modern and on trend; I just LOVE them.
This card is fairly straightforward. White card base, stamping, patterned paper. Done. :) While I don't often forget birthdays, I am terrible at getting cards out in time, so this one will fit for just that.

Holiday Workshop 2013- Day 3.

Long time no post... :) 'Tis the season to be BUSY!
I'm participating in Online Card Classes Holiday Workshop 2013 and am having so much stretching my creativity! I LOVED the masking and stenciling technique used in today's class by Cristina, so I decided for my 'homework' I'd try it out myself.  Not too shabby if I do say so. I'm picturing creating my own patterned papers with different colours and stencils using this technique!

Guess what? I'm noticed! By Neat & Tangled Stamps that is... Check out their blog post here where they show some of the projects that caught their eye in the last little while. My card was one of the ones featured and I'm VERY thrilled about it!

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Peace. Joy. Love.

I am in full Christmas card mode now and while this one was made last season, there are a hundred or so more cards sitting on my desk in anticipation for the 2 shows I'm selling them in this year.

I LOVE this card. Paper Crafts magazine sadly did not (lol), but that means I get to show it here and someone else can enjoy it!  That tree die from Simon Says Stamp has to be one of my favourite die cuts EVER. White spray mist creates the 'snow' effect.

Happy Friday to you all and enjoy your weekend!

SUPER day!

Lately I've been trying to expand my stamping 'repetoire' so to speak...aka trying new techniques.

For this card I tried embossing my image using several different colours of embossing powder. I can see having a lot of fun in the future with this technique! Here I used American Crafts Zing powders in bright colours, but can you image silver, gold and bronze on a holiday card? Oooooo pretty! This card goes in the ever growing stash of boy birthday cards...lots of party invites lately for my son so these cards are needed!

Busy times ahead!

This household is in Halloween recovery mode, fall clean-up mode, and winter preparation mode! My head is constantly spinning with lists of things I SHOULD be doing, and things I WANT to be doing... Busy times. :)

Thankfully, I have a few hours a day to sit down and get creative in my card corner. I have 2 Christmas vendor sales coming up and am busy making cards and other paper crafted goodies to sell.  This anniversary card will go into the generic anniversary or 25th anniversary group. I inevitably get a request for one or two milestone anniversaries, so I might as well prepare them in advance.  I used my Papertrey Ink Cover Plate: Circles die with a nice sparkly silver paper, some vellum for the feathers, and a simple Hero Arts sentiment for the message. Not too difficult to put together!
