I adore Rubeena's passion for cardmaking and her support of everyone in the cardmaking/crafty community. She's a cheerleader and super talented artist, and I'm thrilled to help her celebrate her cardmaking anniversary!
In 2006 after my son was born I began scrapbooking and it quickly turned into cardmaking. The smaller format, the variety of stamps and supplies, and the ability to make someone smile with a handmade creation was part of the appeal. One of my first loves in cardmaking was patterned paper and it still is. The mix and match of ephemera, journal cards, stickers, alphabets and 6x6 pads sucked me in and like many of us, I began hoarding papers. :) To help Rubeena celebrate today, I created a collection of five inspirational cards using one paper collection- Flourish by Crate Paper and coordinating ephemera just like I did when I first started creating.
All five cards were created similarly using the papers and floral ephemera from the Flourish collection. I added a stamped sentiment to each, embossing a few in gold, added some gold paint splatters here and there, and adhering some gold sequins. There's a cohesive look to them all, and yet they are each unique. I love how they turned out!
Do you have a favourite?! I'm partial to the one that says 'throw kindness around like confetti."
There are so many other stops on the hop today, so carry on and enjoy yourselves and have fun creating! Thanks Rubeena for inviting me to join you on this fabulous hop.
