The Card Concept #102- Homestyle Holiday

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. Although I love bright and bold and non-traditional Christmas stuff, this is just so beautiful. That classic Christmas, cozy at home feeling oozes from this picture.

I decided to use the colours of red, green and brown for my card today, and incorporated many of the images in the photo into my card using a fun stamp set!

The Deck the Halls Tournabout set was perfect for what I needed on this card. The leaves and boughs, ornaments and Christmas imagery are all brought in with one stamp! I stamped it four times in Pale Tomato, Cup O Joe, Lobster and Lucky dye inks on white cardstock, then adhered it to a red A2 cardstock base. The beautiful scripty sentiment was die cut from Dark Chocolate cardstock, adhered on a small white panel and added to the card base. A small strip of green glitter paper adds some sparkle and glitz to the finished card. :)

I'm calling this a hybrid card, which is totally ok to do! Mix and match those styles that we have defined. Clean and Layered PLUS Classy and Elegant. Simple lines and layers, but with a rich colour scheme and classy sentiment.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with!
