Fusion Challenge- Tie-Dye Butterfly

Long time, no see! Summer vacation is half over for us and we have been having a blast. Loads of family time, some day trips, baseball, baseball, and more baseball, an anniversary vacation to NYC and Boston, and not much creative time with all the hustle and bustle. Luckily things are slowing down now and some crafting time fell into my lap.

I'm playing along with the Fusion challenge and used just the inspiration photo for my card today.

Ta-da! A tie-dye butterfly!

The background of the inspiration photo screamed tie-dye to me, so I pulled out a piece of patterned paper (and it's sparkly too!) and die cut a butterfly from Beautiful Butterfly Pop-up by Concord & 9th. I didn't use the pop-up element and instead kept it as the focal point on my clean and simple card. The sentiment was stamped using a crisp black ink and comes from the coordinating Beautiful Butterfly stamp set. I felt like the black ink and the curves of the butterfly mimic the sentiment in the inspiration photo.

That's it for today! Have a great day and here's to more creative time for us all!
