The Card Concept- Holiday 2019

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! Our last challenge for 2019 is to share a photo of your Christmas tree OR favourite card you made this year. I chose to share my favourite card below.

My classy and elegant card was created only a week or so ago, but it quickly became my favourite of the year! Alcohol ink is a medium I just love to create with and the background for this card was made in just a few minutes using only one ink colour (plus a metallic brass).

Using alcohol inks and brass  I created a background on Yupo paper and let it dry. Once totally dry I used the Snow Flurry die to cut out the centre piece (and saved it for another project!) and backed it on blue cardstock. Then I stamped and heat embossed the coordinating snowflake stamp through the cut out piece. The panel was adhered to a pale pink A2 card base. The sentiment was heat embossed in gold on white cardstock, trimmed, and adhered with foam tape. A few rose gold sequins finish the card off.

Why it's my favourite? Shimmer, shine, sparkle, pretty pinks and purples, sequins...I love it ALL. :)

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with!
