The Card Concept #133- Hello Spring

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. That is such a lovely spring bouquet! Wouldn't that just cheer your kitchen table up?

My classy and elegant card today draws inspiration from the bouquet itself with the flowers and colours. Do you see the heart leaning up again the tray? My sentiment brings that heart into play. :)

On a watercolor cardstock panel I heat embossed the bouquet from DAYS-E Bouquet by Ink Road using white embossing powder. Using Distress Oxide inks I used the ink smooshing technique to add colour to the image. I went back in with a paint brush and the Oxide Inks and just added a little more concentrated ink on the image areas so it stood out from the entire panel. The panel was trimmed and adhered to a white A2 card base, with a strip of gold glitter paper down the side. The sentiment was heat embossed using a gold glitter powder.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Stamps: DAYS-E Bouquet (Ink Road Stamps)

Paper: watercolor cardstock (Tim Holtz); white, Surf Blue (Simon Says Stamp); gold glitter paper (My Favorite Things)
Other: gold embossing powder (Wow); white embossing powder (Hero Arts)
