The Card Concept #138- Summer Fun

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. This calls to mind a cottage on the beach, where everything is nautical-themed and there's sand in every spot imaginable.

My clean and layered card was inspired by the tablecloth and the pattern of the rings on the plates, and of course the theme and colours in general!

There's a lot of die cutting on this card! I die cut the cover panel and adhered it over top of a white A2 card base. The circles and waves were die cut from cardstock and adhered together. The boat (from Sail Away by Simon Says Stamp and possibly retired...) was stamped, die cut, then stamped again on patterned and specialty papers and pieced together, then tucked behind the waves border. My sentiment was stamped in navy ink and matted on yellow cardstock and popped up using foam tape.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with!

  1. I thought that blue paper was designer paper and I love that you basically created your own designer paper with the die panel and white paper! Super cute!
