The Card Concept #138c- Dog Days of Summer

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. Um, hello? That is one cool dog. Put some shades on me, and sit me in the sunshine like that and I'd be grinning too.

Based on the ultra-hip pooch above, I created a clean and graphic card that channels the feel-good vibe of summer, sunshine and the colours of the photo.

On a white A2 card base, I stamped the sunshine from Simon Says Stamp and then masked it to do my blending with the original Pink & Main blender brush and Distress Oxide inks. I added a few water splotches to the inked piece and once dry, stamped the sunglasses from Lawn Fawn onto the sun. The bottom corner had some cardstock strips added to it to match the beach towel of the inspiration picture. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and heat embossed using WOW Clear Sparkle embossing powder. The final touches were a few enamel dots and some Glossy Accents on the sunglasses. All supplies are listed below.

Here's a closer look at the Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and the sparkle on the embossed sentiment!

Don't forget- Choose a design style (or combine styles), create a card, and in your blog post let us know what inspired you from the photo, what style and/or styles you chose and don't forget to display our inspiration photo and link back to our challenge.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with!
