The Card Concept #138d- Sunset at the Shore

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. This time we're celebrating Sunset at the Shore. Wouldn't you just love sitting on that beach and watching the sun go down?

I created a clean and layered/mixed media card and was inspired by the gorgeous sunset and beach setting. It makes me want to go sit on a beach...which truthfully I don't love. Sand in allll the places. No thanks lol...

I started with a panel of watercolor cardstock trimmed slightly smaller than an A2 card base. Using Distress Inks and Oxide Inks, I blended a background to look like a beach sunset. I used gold embossing powder and my favourite CAS-ual Fridays Stamps set- Sunbeams (retired) and heat embossed the sun and the sentiment. After adhering it to a white A2 card base with foam tape, I added a few pearlescent sequins.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with!
