The Card Concept #141- Around the World

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. There is so much to love about this picture...the gorgeous globe, the vase of flowers, the stack of books...I love it all. That is definitely a cute little display that I'd have in my home. :)

I used the lovely gold vase of flowers for my inspiration today. My card is classy and elegant; at The Card Concept we define that as including elements of sparkly embellishments, a rich colour scheme, a sophisticated sentiment, and is in general rich and dramatic. I tried to incorporate all of that into my card today.

I began by stamping and heat embossing the Floral Wreath and 'thank you' sentiment by Studio Katia using gold powder on watercolour paper.  Using Zig Clean Color brush markers and a small paintbrush I coloured the image in. I fussy cut the image out and adhered it to a  white woodgrain cardstock panel using foam tape. The entire panel was glued to a white A2 card base and a few gold sequins were added to finish it off.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with!
