The Card Concept #145 -Festive Celebrations

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. This picture just screams elegance to me. The black, gold and cream with touches of shimmer and sparkle. WOW! I wish I could decorate my home like this for the holidays. Actually...nah. I'm definitely a rainbow colours kind of lady. :)

The rich and elegant colours and the patterns on the candles gave me the inspiration I needed for this clean and layered card today. I thought the classiness of the photo called for an occasional that demands sparkle and shine...and that's New Year's Eve!

This card came together very quickly, with just a bit of die cutting and gluing to do. The centre piece was created by die cutting the Grace Mandala set from Birch Press Designs using speciality papers and adhering the layers together. It is glued to the A2 card base, with the sentiment strip popped up using foam tape across the middle. A few tiny gold stars are scattered across the front to finish it off.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with! *Please, please, please be mindful of the challenge rules. Post the inspiration photo, link to the challenge and don't combine your card with another inspiration challenge. Unfortunately many beautiful cards are not eligible for winning our challenge because they don't meet the criteria.*

Supplies:
Dies: (Grace Layer Set) Birch Press Design
Paper: (gold sparkle, black sparkle, cream shimmer, grey) Simon Says Stamp
Other: (sentiment strips by CZ Designs) Simon Says Stamp, (gold star confetti) Pretty Pink Posh
