The Card Concept #148

It's time for another The Card Concept challenge! I created my card based on the inspiration photo below. Can we just stop for a moment and look at those cupcakes? YUM. I can bake a mean cupcake (straight from the box!) but I cannot do perfect icing like that. Now I'm off to Pinterest to search for treat ideas for Valentine's Day...

My clean and layered card was inspired by the cupcakes, colours, and the hearts.

I am such a fan of patterned paper and love using all the coordinating bits and pieces from entire collections. For my card today I used the Sweet Talk collection from Simple Stories- both papers from the 6x8 pad and the 3x4 element cards. I easily found patterns that went with the challenge and adhered them to an A2 black card base. The element card has a bit of sparkle added to it from a Wink of Stella marker, and some extra pink hearts die cut from pink cardstock using the Hearts dies from Lawn Fawn. The final touch was adding a teeny tiny embossed sentiment from Tiny Words by Simon Says Stamp.

Head on over to The Card Concept blog to see how the rest of the team was inspired and what styles they used on their cards. Play along with us using any of the styles we highlight...I can't wait to see what you come up with! *Please, please, please be mindful of the challenge rules. Post the inspiration photo, link to the challenge and don't combine your card with another inspiration challenge. Unfortunately many beautiful cards are not eligible for winning our challenge because they don't meet the criteria.*
